about this blog

Calling all Salt Spring Foodies — get fresh with us!

This is our community food blog.  Just think of it as a kitchen table as big as the island. It’s our place to gather and talk about what is on our dinner plates and why.

  • Which local foods are you devouring for pleasure and good health? (tell us in “table talk“)
  • What will you bring to the table tonight? Did you pick up a fresh surprise at the market? (tell us in “table talk“)
  • What grows in your garden? (tell us in “farm talk“)
  • Impressed by a local restaurant? (tell us in “table talk“)
  • Did a local flavour move you to stay up late and write a poem? (post it in “the salon“)

Here’s our chance to share food gossip with neighbours at the South End, the North End and everywhere in between. More than that, this is our place to tell the world. By association with saltspringmarket.com these food pages will also be viewed by visitors who want to sample our best-tasting fare. We think they’ll be tantalized enough to travel here and taste for themselves.
